Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to give you a more put together explaination of the event. What is basically happening is that, if you would like to participate, there is a form for you to fill out and return to me, then I'll get you a vendor. This isn't a hunt and there wont be any reviews, run throughs, or anything. This is soley to help Making Strides Agaisnt Breast Cancer and raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
So here are all the details:
What: If you would like to participate, we are asking that you create an item (outfit, furniture, tattoo, jewlery, whatever) to put out for sale. All of the proceeds of this will be for Making Strides. The vendors that I recieved directly from the organization pay the American Cancer Soceity's corporate alt, and no one else. You are, of course, more than welcome to create more than one item if you would like.
When: Breast Cancer Awareness Month is October. Ideally, I'd like your gift to be up October 1-31st. However, I know I'm setting this up late, so whatever you can do, and whenever you can do it are fabulous.
Who: The proceeds from your sale will be for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for the American Cancer Society.
Where: You can place a vendor at your store or Stores. For clubs or those with malls that do not sell anything, I have donation kiosks that you are able to put out if you'd like. Please indicate this on the notecard you send back.
Why: For me, my mother died from Breast Cancer last year, and I've had several members of my family with different types of cancer. From the Making Strides note: The disease will strike more than 178,000 times this year and claim about 41,000 lives. And while we have made great strides against breast cancer, we still need your support to see to it that our mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and neighbors will never have to know the disease.
To Reiterate:
-You do not have to be a vendor. We're looking specifically for vendors, so we can put outfits up for sale. However, we also have some kiosks that I can give to clubs, malls, etc.
-You are more than welcome to make more than one outfit, please just let me know!
